Peter A. Felice, MD

Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Peter A. Felice has a comprehensive surgical training background having completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency at the University of Florida, where he gained experience and comfort performing complex reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery procedures. He completed his General Surgery residency at the University of South Carolina where he was nominated by his resident peers and colleagues for the “Physician of the Year” award. While in his General Surgery Residency, he was chosen to complete a two-year Research Fellowship at the University of Michigan Section of Plastic Surgery where he performed both breast cancer and head and neck cancer research.  


He has authored over twenty publications and won Best Research Paper of the Year by the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons. He enjoys collaborating with other physicians and surgeons, teaching junior residents and medical students, and is enthusiastic about contributing to colleagues’ education in an effort to improve and enhance patient care.

Dr. Patrick J. Buchanan is a Plastic, Aesthetic, & Hand/Microsurgeon. He earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed a research fellowship at the University of Michigan. 

Dr. Buchanan has authored over 50 scientific papers, including textbook chapters, and is a peer reviewer for three scientific journals, including Nature-Scientific Reports. Dr. Buchanan stays on top of the latest innovations and technologies in the industry through his membership in various organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the American Association for Hand Surgery. He also has won a clinical grant to study a novel approach to harvesting vascularized bone for wrist reconstruction.

He is well versed in teaching and tutoring. Being a former student athlete in college, he is acutely aware of the need for a streamlined and efficient manner of learning. He has served as a peer tutor to other athletes and served as a BLS and ACLS instructor, certifying over 100 medical students and residents. He is also appointed as an Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery at Mercer School of Medicine.

Dr. Paul Diegidio, MD “Dr. D” has extensive experience with cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. He enjoys participating in medical mission trips to bring burn, craniofacial, and reconstructive expertise to patients in underserved areas.  Dr. Diegidio considers it a privilege to take care of his patients, and enjoys developing, and tailoring treatment plans based on individual needs. 

Dr. D has authored 40 scientific papers and presentations, including textbook chapters in burns, clinical research methodology, and historical aspects of plastic surgery. He has extensive research experience and was awarded a prestigious research fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. D founded his own practice, South Charlotte Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, and skin care line, South Charlotte Skin. He has a broad scope of clinical practice ranging from cosmetic surgery, trauma, hand, and burn/cleft reconstruction, which he performs on medical mission trips. He stays current with advances in the field of plastic surgery through ongoing education, membership in national societies, and yearly board review course education for graduating chiefs. 

He enjoys teaching and has received multiple awards for his time spent teaching residents both clinical and board prep material. He also continues to teach on a daily basis and has medical students from Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine rotate with his practice. He is also an Adjunct Faculty member with the Medical University of South Carolina.
